The way they see it, risk helps to distinguish themselves from their competitors, as those who are willing to risk something generally position themselves as leaders, while others get left behind. I have asked people in this situation, and a big percentage of them end up more satisfied with their lives because of it. Now, it’s not all sunshine and roses, there have been plenty of people who have failed, but most of them have walked away with more experience and more knowledge, which in most cases leads to future success in other areas. However, what they do differently than most is, they research, study, get advice and make sure the risk is calculate and controlled.
Sure, none us know what the future holds, however I believe the best business owners and sales agents all take risks, its what sets them apart from their competitors.
In saying that, I also believe that there is nothing more suicidal than making a rational decision in an irrational environment that you can’t control. I personally believe that there is no such thing as luck in life, you create your own through your actions. So, in saying that, I personally believe that fortune does favours the brave, more than someone who’s not willing to put themselves out there. To be successful, do you need to take a risk by putting yourself into a place that doesn’t exists yet, or can you still be successful just ‘playing it safe’? Sure, the chances of failing are higher by taking a risk, but you won’t know what you can accomplish if you don’t give it a shot. A risk-taker, someone who is adaptable or flexible, as it refers to people who are willing to dive into the unknown and embrace traits of enterprise and courage and resilience.ĭo you personally see yourself as someone who dreams of shaking off sameness and safeness, while always seeking something beyond the small world of your current eco-system? Let’s face it, some people just love the benefits of diversity over congruity, and they revel in a life of challenge and change. We’ve all heard the term ‘fortune favours the brave’!
